§ 44-32. Tampering with hydrants, street valves, meter boxes.

It shall be unlawful for any person, except an employee of the town or a member of the fire department in the proper exercise of his duty, to open any fire hydrant or to, in any way, meddle or interfere with its fixtures or to use any water therefrom or to remove the cover from or to open up any street valve or meter box.
