The Legislature of the State of Alabama has in Code of Ala. 1975, §§ 11-19-1—11-19-24,
11-45-1—11-45-11, 11-52-1—11-52-84, 41-9-166, authorized local government units to
adopt regulations designed to promote the public health, safety, and general welfare
of its citizenry. Also, the regulations adopted hereby are required in order for the
town to participate in the national flood insurance program to protect its citizens
living in flood prone areas. Therefore, the town council of the Town of Falkville,
Alabama, does ordain as follows.
